Used at the Hostess Head Office, the Distribution Center Ranking System produces reports that rank Distribution Centers on various measures.
The measures include items that fall under four main categories: Service, Quality, Cost and People. Each category has several measures. The data for these measures are collected from several other systems, including the Distribution Centre Management System, Master Shipping Schedule System, Master Production Schedule System and other internal Frito Lay systems in Oracle and on their mainframe.
The reports are distributed back to the Distribution Centres, as well as being reviewed by upper levels of management at Head Office.
